What is EZ School Alert and how does it work?
EZSchoolAlert is the fastest, easiest way for a school district to connect with parents. Districts simply sign up for a web address that includes their district name, then at registration parents are directed to this page. Parents set up their own account and enter in their contact information . They can also specify times that they want to be contacted by specific means (cell phone, email, etc). During an emergency or other event requiring instant notification (such as a change in graduation venue, school closing, football practice cancellation), a school administrator logs in, types out one message and hits send. This queries the database and depending upon parent preferences, they receive an email or text message instantly.
So how many school district resources will this take?
A school district can go from no site to complete in less than 30 minutes. Sign up is a breeze. Once the district gets an administrator account, he or she simply logs in, uploads school district logos and personalizes the site.
What do I get with a year contract?

What if some parents don't want to receive all these alerts?
That's fine too. There are many types of alerts, from emergencies like school closings to what's called informational communication. Parents choose which type of alert they'd like to receive and where.
How much of the site can be personalized?
Nearly everything is customizable; from colors, to layout, to logos and font. Make it look however you like.
What if I don't know anything about HTML?
No problem! Editing is accomplished in a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) format. If you can use a word processor like Microsoft Word, you can edit the site.
Now the big question, how much?
We realize school districts do not have a ton of money, so we've found a way to spread out the cost of site development over all the schools participating.
