The EZSchoolAlert Story...

EZSchoolAlert didn't just pop onto the Internet one day.  It's the result of many months of hard work, focus groups, and a drive to be the best.  Each of the features you see on the website came about from talks with schools and universities across the great state of Wisconsin.

The idea is a simple one but is something that's missing from many school districts' communications plans.  It came about when EZSchoolAlert's founder, Steve Van Dinter, was covering a school shooting in Wisconsin as a reporter for WISC-TV back in 2006.  Van Dinter spoke with parents who heard about the tragedy in text messages from their sons and daughters.  It became apparent to him that instant communication is not only a luxury, but a vital necessity for schools in the 21st century.
